Iolo System Mechanic

Anybody running Iolo AntiVirus, System Mechanic or Malware Killer?
There’s a known issue between these programs and the latest windows security updates causing a crash screen to appear.

Unfortunately it also makes your pc appear to have an unknown malware on it and also prevents your user account from operating correctly and also prevents the System File Recovery tools from working which all point to a virus.

More than likely it’s a miscommunication between the software makers (Iolo) and Microsoft (not unusual) but probably won’t be fixed soon.

Disabling the offending product will temporarily “fix” the issue but only uninstalling will solve it (other than a new security update).
