Laptop Buyers Beware

When buying your laptop PLEASE ask the shop/seller if the RAM/memory can be replaced.

Generally all laptops will outlive the initial warranty. If you laptop does NOT have replaceable memory then BUY an extra warranty. £70 is better than the consequences.

If you don’t, and it fails (quite likely), then you’ll be looking at a £300 bill for a new mainboard.

An easy way to check is to turn it over and see if there are small removable sections of the bottom cover for hard drive, RAM and battery.

IDSL will ALWAYS help the customer and NEVER charge exorbitant prices, but we can’t help you if you don’t help yourself when buying.

If in doubt, we’ll spec a laptop for you.
